ONCE UPON A TIME SARCAR…

SARCAR was established in Geneva in 1948 by Carlos Sarzano, a watch enthusiast and well-respected figure in the watch industry. Prior to starting the brand, Sarzano worked for a number reputable Swiss watch brands, representing them in Spain and Italy.

Two decades earlier, during the course of his work, Sarzano chanced upon a watch facility that was put up for sale. He promptly acquired the factory with the intention of starting his own brand.

Sarzano eventually started SARCAR with the vision to create the world’s most luxurious timepieces, which combine the most exquisite and precious stones with innovative designs and top-quality craftsmanship. He also emphasised on the importance of creative autonomy, famously proclaiming that the company must always be “large enough to be strong, yet small enough to be free”.

Today, SARCAR is a globally renowned creator of highly exclusive, bejewelled artisan timepieces with authorised retailers all over the world. The passing decades may have seen SARCAR evolve to greater heights, but the brand remains deeply committed to Sarzano’s original vision and values that first inspired its birth.

Independence & Creativity
Freedom begets creativity. Our commitment to this principle guides us in creating the most prestigious timepieces of the highest quality and value. This principle was crystallised by founder Carlo Sarzano in 1948, who envisioned a company that was “large enough to be strong, yet small enough to be free”.

Exclusivity & Prestige
SARCAR timepieces are handcrafted using only most precious metals, highest quality gemstones and top-graded diamonds. To ensure utmost exclusivity, our timepieces comprise highly limited collections, single-piece creations, and custom-made commissions.

Tradition & Innovation
Superlative finishing, fastidious gem-setting, artful engraving and breath-taking miniature painting – SARCAR timepieces are emblematic of a great artisanal watch brand. Our timepieces are works of art handcrafted by master watchmakers, artisans and gem-setters using a mix time-honoured techniques, and state-of-the-art micro-engineering.
